The Lumbini state government celebrated the 18th Republic Day with various programs on Thursday. The state celebrated the day with pride by organizing Prabhatferi, cultural tableau and main function.
Addressing the main ceremony, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya said that the Republic of Nepal is a proud achievement. "This achievement was made possible by sacrifice, sacrifice and struggle of the Nepali people," he said, "Republic Day will inspire to strengthen the practice of inclusive, proportional, just and responsible governance." He informed that the Lumbini state government is proceeding in a planned manner by prioritizing agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, education, health, youth entrepreneurship and self-employment.
Stating that coordination and cooperation between union, state and local levels is necessary to make the practice of federalism effective, he said that the state government is working committedly in that direction.
Chief Minister Acharya expressed the opinion that while appreciating the contribution of the previous generation, we should resolve to hand over an inclusive, egalitarian and self-respecting society to the future generation.
Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, Tularam Ghartimagar, mentioned that the republic is a people's governance system and emphasized on its institutional strengthening and development. He said that even if political federalism is achieved, practical implementation of administrative and financial federalism is inevitable.
Former Chief Minister and Congress Parliamentary Party leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary mentioned that the main achievement of the republic was federalism and said that its goal was development.
The leader of the opposition party and outgoing Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara said that the basic needs of the people should be addressed while strengthening the republic.
The original ceremony was formed to celebrate the day by organizing various programs for three days. On the occasion of the day, Prabhatpheri was organized with tableaus with various arts and cultures. Prabhatferi, which started from the premises of Rapti rural municipality, reached the provincial assembly and turned into a meeting. Prabhatpheri with local art, culture, community costumes and Panchebaja was conducted.
