On the occasion of the 34th foundation day of Nepal Press Union, reflective stickers were placed on the bicycles of the students of Buddha Padma Secondary School in Taulihwa on Wednesday.
A reflective sticker has been pasted on the back of the student's bicycle with the aim of increasing traffic awareness while reducing road accidents.
With the technical support of the Traffic Police Office Taulihwa and the coordination of Buddha Padma Secondary School, stickers were put on the bicycles of 755 students in a program organized by the Nepal Press Union branch.
Union branch president Khagprasad Chapagain said that the radium sticker will help protect cyclist students from accidents as it glows in the dark.
On that occasion, in the morning prayer meeting of the school, Chief Police Deputy Inspector Deepakraj Giri of Traffic Police Office Taulihwa informed the students about road safety.
He cautioned the students to ride bicycles according to the road lanes, not to talk to students on bicycles, to drive vehicles with driver's license and mandatory use of helmets, not to board vehicles with people who exceed their capacity and to follow traffic rules while traveling on the road.
