An agreement has been signed between the Lumbini state government and Ramgram Municipality of West Nawalparasi for the construction of Gharbas (Home Stay).

An agreement has been signed between the province and the municipality for the operation of the homestay with the aim of supporting the tourism development of the city and building the original culture. Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya and Municipal Chief Dhanpat Yadav signed the agreement for the construction of a homestay at Hadahia Pond in Ramgram Municipality-14. Dhanpat Yadav, head of Ramgram Municipality, said that according to the agreement, 92 lakh rupees will be provided by the local level and 1 crore 8 lakh rupees by the state government.

"Even though there was a possibility of tourism, tourism could not be developed due to the adoption by the community," he said, "We have brought a plan to help the community in income generation by operating home stays through their original dishes and culture." This will help the tourism development of Ramgram Nagar.' 

The home stay is going to be conducted under the latest project with the support of the state and local levels through the innovation partnership fund of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers. There is a majority of Tharu community in Ward No. 14 and it is expected that the home stay will help the Tharu community in earning income and in rebuilding the culture which is about to disappear.

Yam Bahadur Kunwar, the chief administrative officer of Ramgram Municipality, said that the necessary structures will be prepared for beautification of the pond and tourism in the homestay that will be built in Hadahia Pond.
