In Suddhodhan rural municipality-5, Jayanagar, a brother and sister died due to gas leakage from the cylinder while cooking.
25-year-old Shivkumar Yadav and 18-year-old Sonam Yadav died when the gas suddenly leaked from the regulator while cooking in the gas stove at 7 am on Sunday morning, District Police Spokesperson and DSP Mohanmani Adhikari said.
85 percent of Shivakumar's body and 75 percent of Sonam's body were taken to a medical college in Bhairawa for treatment. Police said that both of them died on the way around 6:00 p.m. while they were being taken to a medical college in Gorakhpur, India at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday for further treatment after treatment was not possible there.
Deceased Sonam was studying in Class 10 at National Higher Secondary School Mudfutuwa. School principal Lal Chand Pandey informed that the school has given mourning leave on Monday for his death.
