Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has requested the voters of the source of the conflict to bring the Maoists to power like in 2064. Speaking at a meeting held at Thabang in Rolpa on Wednesday during the Madhyapahari Lokmarg campaign, Dahal expressed his commitment to rejoin the main campaign of development if the party is brought to power with a majority.

'Like yesterday, our party has been with and supported by you. Once again, support the first Constituent Assembly election in 2064. We will once again lead in the development of the country," said former Prime Minister Dahal among the workers from all over the district gathered in the meeting. "If you support us again, it will help to change the situation of the people. I lead it.'

After the peace process, Dahal reached Thabang, the origin of the armed conflict he led for the fourth time. He recalled the contribution of Rolpali in completing ten years of armed struggle and establishing the party at the national level. 'We started the people's war from here, our commander Nanda Bahadur Pun (we say Nandkishore Pun) twice became an important and high ranking vice president. He is still in the movement with us today.' Dahal said pointing to Pun, who was active again in politics with him.

When he was the Prime Minister for the first time, Dahal concluded that he had put forward the concept of Madhya Pahari Lokmarg to connect the country by road and had come to observe it for its completion. In this process, he said, there was an opportunity to honor the wounded, disabled, martyr families and warriors and activists who contributed a lot. "We declared martyrs under my leadership as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in the conflict and also published a notice in the gazette," he said.

Dahal started his journey on the central hilly route from Patan in Baitadi. He was given a grand welcome by the locals in Thabang on Wednesday.  He said that when he came to power, the party did not make the desired changes and made a serious review. "Our government has done important work on issues such as social justice, meter badge, social security fund," he said.

Dahal admitted that Thabang was the center during the 10-year civil war. He has to appeal to the people again as before. He said that he had arrived. Thabang was the main center during the People's War, now we have come with the aim of making it a center again. I appeal to you once again, support me,' he said. He claimed that Congress and UML, including the old powers, have hindered the weakening of the party's condition since 2064. That's why we are raising our voice for the system of directly electing the president. Our movement is continuing to establish a system where the people will win," he said.
