The police have arrested Kamlesharan Chaudhary, president of Shudhodhan rural municipality of Kapilvastu, in the case of electronic crime (cybercrime). Chaudhary was arrested from Butwal by the team of Butwal area police office.
District Court Rupandehi issued an arrest warrant against Choudhary after the victim filed a complaint against the rape accused and her family. According to DSP Suraj Karki, Information Officer of District Police Office Rupandehi, Chaudhary was arrested by the team of Butwal Area Police Office.
Chaudhary was absconding after the arrest warrant was issued. He was elected as the chairman of the rural municipality from the Democratic Socialist Party (LOSP). The Rupandehi District Court ordered the Butwal area police office to arrest Chaudhary on May 1. District Police Office Butwal wrote a letter to District Police Office Kapilvastu on Monday to arrest Chaudhary and hand him over.
