The foundation stone of the road connecting Tulsipur and Ghorahi sub-metropolitan rural areas was laid on Tuesday. Founder Chief Minister of Lumbini Province and UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, former Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary and Physical Infrastructure Minister of Lumbini Province Bhumishwar Dhakal jointly laid the foundation stone of the road.
The said road will connect Ward No. 18, 16, 15 of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City to Ward No. 9 of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City. The length of this road connecting Bijauri, Bansdabara, Jamuni, Lakshmipur, Dakshin Kurharia, Kanjwar and Kothari is 15.58 km.
Bhimarjun Pandey, Secretary of Lumbini Province Physical Infrastructure Ministry said that the work started on 2081 Chait 11 and an agreement was reached to complete the plan on 2083 Chait 11. He informed that 448 million 777 thousand 715 rupees have been allocated for the construction of black paper roads. While laying the foundation stone of the road, Pokharel assured that the budget will be allocated for the expansion of the Ghorahi-Tulsipur four-lane road and Tarigaon airport runway.
