Foundation laying of 22 km road and bridge at Bardia

The foundation stone of about 22 km paved road from Dhadwar in Katarnia of Bansgarhi municipality to Khailarghat in Thakurbaba municipality was laid on Monday.

Lumbini Province Physical Development Minister Bhumishwar Dhakal and Social Development Minister Janmjay Timilsena jointly laid the foundation stone.

The road to be completed on 20 June 2084 will be 5.5 meters wide, said Gobind Bahadur Mahatra Chhetri, Head of the Road East Development Office, Bardia. The construction of the said road has been undertaken by Oasis Engineering and Builders Pvt Ltd. The chief sector said that black paper will be produced by Afsal technology at a cost of 537.6 million 29 thousand.

Likewise, Minister Dhakal has laid the foundation stone of a 30-meter long bridge on Bhada River, Baida, Barardiya-10. The construction of the bridge will be completed on June 19, 2008 at a cost of more than 70 million. NS Infrastructure Pvt Ltd has taken the contract for the bridge. The width of the bridge is 30 meters. After the construction of the bridge, more than a dozen villages in this area will benefit.
