About 2 lakh Indian rupees and 2 gold and silver cargoes with undisclosed source were arrested on Monday. Among those arrested are 34-year-old Rahul Barma, who runs the Ashok Jewelery Store in Taulihwa, Kapilvastu headquarters, and 78-year-old Om Prakash of Uska Bazar, Siddharthnagar Police Station, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The team under the command of Police Inspector Madhav Vishwakarma has seized 196,000 gold and 562 grams of silver from Indian citizen Om Prakash in Kapilvastu Municipality-1, Masjid Toll based on a special information.
During the interrogation, Omprakash told the police that 97 thousand 300 of the amount belonged to Rahul Barma of Kapilvastu Municipality-1 Chowkbazar . After this, Burma was also taken into custody by the police . Information Officer of District Police Office and DSP Mohanmani Adhikari said that both the arrested persons have been sent to Revenue Investigation Office Butwal for necessary action.
