Police have arrested four youths in Rolpa on the charge of possession of narcotic hashish. Based on a tip-off, the police arrested the youth with hashish from Ghartigaon Madi in West Rolpa on Saturday night.
According to the police, based on the information that they were hiding narcotic hashish at Hillside Auto Workshop in Ghartigaon, the center of Madi Rural Municipality, the police started searching for those youths and arrested them.
Saturday night from 10 o'clock they were tried to control them. Among those arrested are Rajan Gupta, 31, a resident of Lamhi Municipality-5 Koilabas Road, Dang, Suman Budhamgar, 22, a resident of Paribang, Madi Rural Municipality-2, Lokendra Budhamgar, 23, of the same village, and Bhupendra Dangi, 28, a resident of Rolpa Municipality-2, Mulpani Tol, Rolpa.
All of them were arrested by the police after receiving secret information that they were consuming drugs (marijuana) in Gupta's room. The police found 8.75 grams of hashish with plastic and 6.82 grams of hashish without plastic hidden in black plastic on the drawer of Gupta's room, said police inspector Devsingh Bhandari, head of Ghartigaon area police office.
According to him, four youths were arrested and sent to Rolpa District Police Office for further action on Sunday. The police extended the deadline of 10 days from the Rolpa district court and the area police office Ghartigaon is conducting further investigation. They are currently kept in police custody at Ghartigaon.
