Two persons were killed when a scooty accident occurred on the east-west highway in Bardiya Basgadhi Municipality-9 Machhagarh. Police said that two of the four people riding the scooter were injured.
Four people riding the scooter No. 12 P 4224 driven by 18-year-old Milan Singh of Kanchanpur Krishnapur Municipality-8 were injured and sent to Teaching Hospital Kohalpur for treatment. Police Inspector Sudhir Khadka of District Traffic Police Office, Bardia said that 12-year-old Ashish Singh and 13-year-old Rakesh Rawat of Basgarhi-9 died during treatment.
Information Officer and DSP Chakra Damar Pal has confirmed the incident. He said that 11-year-old Ganesh Singh of the same place was seriously injured in the incident. According to the police, the condition of 18-year-old Singh of Kanchanpur Krishnapur-8, the scooty driver, is normal. DSP Pal said that the preliminary investigation showed that the scooter overturned on the road when it was caught between the Magic vehicle of Bhe 1 J 1272 coming towards Baidi through Basgarhi and the Magic vehicle of Bhe 1 J 1494 going in the opposite direction. The police said that the
accident is being investigated. The police have seized two magic vehicles, the driver and the scooty.
