The state government has started the 'Himalaya Tourist Hub' program in Rukum East, the only Himalayan district of Lumbini Province. In accordance with the plan to promote tourism in the district, it was launched today through a formal program at the headquarters Rukumkot.
It is said that this program has been started with the aim of developing tourism infrastructure in Rukum East and promoting tourism activities in the district by coordinating and collaborating with the local level and the private sector by covering the entire natural and cultural area.
Narad Gautam, secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport of the Lumbini State Government, presented 6 points of commitment in the program and put forward various plans. These plans include the operation of high-class hotels, the operation of tourism information centers and koseli houses, the construction of tourist trails, the creation of promotional materials for tourist spots, the tourism development council and tour guide and hospitality training, the operation of rappelling in the Saniveri river and the construction of tourist infrastructure in collaboration with all three levels of government.
Under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport of the provincial government, the project of tourism division office Kohalpur Banke and the office of Sisne Rural Municipality of Rukum East has been facilitated. All the stakeholders who had their say in the
program requested the provincial government to emphasize the physical development related to this, saying that this kind of effort started by the provincial government for the development of tourism in the district is pleasant, but there is a lot less work in tourism. In the program, the chairman of Bhume and Sisne, heads and representatives of political parties, industrialists, experts in the tourism sector and various stakeholders were present in the program.
Also, on this occasion, a hoarding board containing the district's tourist spots has also been placed near the Kamal lake located in the district headquarters Sisne-5 Rukumkot. Gautam, the secretary of the organizing ministry, said that they have proceeded according to the plan to carry out various programs of this kind for the development of commercial tourism in a total of 12 districts within the Lumbini province.
