After the increase in fire incidents, Bardghat Industry and Trade Association has installed fire extinguishers in the market area. According to the association, the equipment placed in the market area can be used free of charge.
Narayan Bhandari, secretary of the association, said that there is no time for the fire brigade to come immediately after the fire, and in some places, the fire brigade cannot even go to the place.
In the initial phase, 8 fire control spray devices have been placed in the main market area of Bardghat and the association plans to add 7 more in Jimirebhar and Bhutaha areas.
Bardghat, Sunwal, Bhumhi markets of the district have lost crores of rupees due to fire and the businessmen of Bardghat have collected funds and installed spray equipment saying that the fire will not be controlled in time. The association has also requested the local organizations and stakeholders to support this campaign.
