The police have arrested three people from Bhairahawa, including an Indian citizen, on the charge of being involved in the business of hundi. The police recovered more than 25 lakh rupees from them.
According to District Police Office Rupandehi, those arrested are 38-year-old Dinesh Bania of Sammarimai Rural Municipality-7 of Rupandehi, 46-year-old Masiuddin Fakir of Suddhodhan Rural Municipality-1 of Kapilvastu and 50-year-old Krishna Agrahari of Nautanwa, India.
Information Officer and DSP Suraj Karki of District Police Office Rupandehi said that they were arrested from two different places in Bhairahawa based on confidential information.
Dinesh Bania was arrested from Bank Road in Bhairawa. The police recovered Rs. 13 lakh 50 thousand 50 lakhs from him. Masiuddin Fakir and Krishna Agrahari have been arrested from Siddharth Nagar Napa-12. 3 lakh 86 thousand 200 and one mobile phone have been recovered from Fakir and 8 lakh 39 thousand 450 rupees and one mobile phone have been recovered from Agrahari.
Information officer Karki told them that the investigation is continuing with an extension of time from the Rupandehi court for the crime of hundi business.
