The under-construction road section under Madan Bhandari Highway in Gulmi is fast at some places and blocked at some places. This highway stretches from East Ridi of the district through Tamghas to West Simlatari to Soutamare.

Road construction is currently underway in Gulmi in two sections. On the Ridi-Tamghas road section, 25 km from Ridi to Runkhadah, the road is being paved. Information Officer of Madan Bhandari Highway Planning Office, Gulmi, Engineer Humnath Poudel informed that the agreement was signed on February 26, 2079, and the parallel Elite JV is working for a total of 1.5 billion rupees and will be completed by February 25, 2082

The first 25 km road section of Ridi-Tamghas section, which has been a narrow road section in the initial stage for years, has now been widened to a width of 7 meters in many places except for a few. The road has been paved since last week.  According to the

agreement, cutting, drainage, stock preparation and gravel works have been completed in most places. At present, the work has been stopped only in Baletaxar, Birwas and water tank areas. The coordinator Ravi Kandel said on behalf of Paramant Elite JV that the black paper work has started in other areas besides this area.

He has said that if there is no continuous rain, the road will be blackened. More than 90 machines with related technology and more than 200 workers are working on this road section. The road is being paved with oxpalt technology.

The stopped work will start as soon as the VO is approved. At present, 60 percent physical progress has been made on the Ridi-Veduwa road section. Out of which 54 percent financial progress has been made.

Madan Bhandari Highway, a national highway between Rurukshetra, Chhatrakot and Gulmidarbar Rural Municipality, Chichole, is expected to bring more ease in the journey. Yadu Gyawali, Chairman of Rurukshetra Rural Municipality, said that since the roads have been paved, the commuters will not have to suffer in the next rainy season. "Many people had to suffer when the road was under construction," he said, "now the work is on pace, now it will be easy." A total of 31 km of this road section, which has to be worked on, includes a 16 km road section from Simaltari to Soutamaree in Gulmi.

According to information officer of Madan Bhandari Highway Planning Office, Gulmi, Engineer Humnath Poudel informed that Shrestha Saksham JV has been entrusted with the construction of Rs. According to the

contract, only 2 months are left for the completion of the construction. But so far the physical progress has been only 26 percent. From which 22 percent financial progress has been made.

The work of this road section has been completely stopped for the last 2 months. Poudel, the engineer of the office, said that the construction business did not work despite the office's repeated requests. Currently, the builders are without contact.

Mahendra Bahadur Kunwar, chairman of Madane rural municipality, said that the local people had to suffer a lot when the construction workers abandoned the work. He said, "There is a danger to settlements and farms as well as problems for travelers on the road," he said.

He complained that due to the negligence of the current construction business, the villages near the road section are being destroyed. Village chairman Kunwar said that the office has been brought to the attention of the office several times, but the builders have not come in contact.
