Lumbini state government preparing many budgets, few project policies

The Lumbini state government is going to discourage the concept of too many plans and too little budget. The government has prepared to move forward with the policy of less planning and more budget, discouraging such projects, since the same project will continue for many years and the results will be delayed, from next year's policy and program.

Under the same concept, the government has also prepared to cut new schemes for the coming year, giving priority to the completion of old schemes. Lumbini state government is working to publicize policies and programs on June 4.

The team led by Kavindra Nepal, Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, is preparing the policies and programs of the government for the coming year. In that, some promising programs with the new thinking of the government have also been put forward. The policy program of the federal government has also been made a basis.

Similarly, the policy program has also prepared to facilitate federalism, improve public service delivery, effectiveness in coordination with the local level, make much-needed laws, and advance government reform with priority.

Lumbini state government is trying to adopt a new policy in relation to government policy making, coordination, cooperation and common issues through the policy program. An action plan for government reforms has been prepared and taken forward. It is going to be included in the policy program as a priority for effective implementation in the coming year.

The government is working to prioritize the promotion of agriculture and the development of tourism infrastructure in the next year's policy program. Kavindra Nepal, Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, said that after collecting suggestions from the ministry, they are working on making a draft to give it a final shape, and it has not yet reached the stage of publicizing it as news.

'The government is preparing, but the situation of this new and this old program has not yet been established,' he said, 'The policy and program should be prepared keeping in mind the federal government's policy and program, the needs and priorities of the state government, and the basis of the budget sources.' It is planned to continue this next year as well. For that, a 10-year strategy is being prepared in collaboration with the local level. Programs related to child marriage, child labor, violence against children, child sexual abuse, child trafficking and illegal trafficking will also continue.

The government has put forward the concept of independent provinces. There is a plan to complete old and multi-year projects on the first priority for physical infrastructure. After that, a new plan will be selected based on the availability of budget.  The government has also put forward a policy to complete state pride projects. The government is trying to advance the upgradation of the 'Rampur Kapurkot' road, which is the pride of the province, as a separate project.

The source said that the government is going to advance the Lumbini regional hospital, the development and construction of the regional capital city, integrated Ayurveda and alternative medicine teaching hospital, construction of Rapti regional hospital, Lumbini technical university infrastructure construction with high priority.

The government is trying to do something new, but for that, the physical infrastructure development minister Bhumishwar Dhakal said that the sources of the budget will be determined. "We have discussed and prepared to complete the old plans and move forward only when we can complete the new plans," he said. He said that technology development, employment and shipbuilding programs will also be prioritized.
