Police arrested two people with drugs in Ghorahi on Sunday evening. According to District Police Office Dang, 23-year-old Vishal Budha Magar was arrested with brown sugar from Milanchowk, Ghorahi sub-metropolis-14.
The police team deployed from Ward Police Office Ghorahi searched the house after seeing Budha Magar walking in a suspicious condition. According to the police, during the search, three red plastic bags were found in the pocket of his pants.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah said that the substance weighs 1 gram including the plastic and 670 milligrams when the plastic is removed. Similarly, 57-year-old Neetu Acharya, a resident of Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-13, Anand Nagar toll, was also arrested with drugs on Sunday evening. Police raided Acharya's house based on a tip-off that he was dealing in the psychoactive drug Tramadol at his residence.
During the raid, 2 tramadol tablets (20 capsules) were found hidden in the kitchen, Shah said. He said that further investigations are being conducted in connection with both incidents.
