Rupandehi's Tilottama municipality has been declared a road-dependent, human-free municipality. During a program on Tuesday, Mayor Ramakrishna Khan announced that the municipality has become free of street-dependent people.
He said that now in Tilottma municipality, the situation where no one has to live as destitute, disabled and orphaned has come to an end. The municipality has collaborated with Manav Seva Ashram in ward number-6 and handed over the manifesto to Ramji Adhikari, president of Manav Seva Ashram. In the
event, Minister of Social Development of Lumbini Province Janmjay Timilsina said that Lumbini He also said that preparations are being made to make the province a road-dependent human-free province. Similarly, according to the chief administrative officer Narayan Aryal, the municipality had supported 5 million for infrastructure construction for Manav Seva Ashram last year.
Aryal said that in order to declare the municipality free of street dependents, the 200 people in the Manav Seva Ashram are not fully accommodated, which means that there are no destitute people in any place in the municipality who are expecting help. He said that there were no complaints from anyone, no people were found around the road, the municipality was able to become free of road dependents.
He said that through upcoming policies and programs and budget, the announced program will be sustained by creating an action plan in collaboration with Manav Seva Ashram.
