92-year-old Tulsiram Paudel of Tilottama Municipality-3 in Rupandehi reaches the street every day after 10 am. After standing on the street for a while, a van arrives to take him away. After a while, when he reaches the senior citizen meeting center, his heart becomes heavy until then.

After participating in many activities throughout the day, at three o'clock in the afternoon, he returns home in the central car. It has been 22 months since he came to Tilott from Arghakhanchi. Sons and daughters, grandchildren have come here. After the death of his wife 10 years ago, he lived alone in the village. Even if he lived alone, he used to cook-eat, whip and hoe . He used to do his own work.

When the body does not support them, they cannot do hard work . Thinking that it was time to rest, I came to the place where my son and daughter-in-law were, he said, "If my body had died, I still wanted to stay in the village."

He is adept at filling parts of songs and hymns. Among the seniors, even though they are seniors, they carefully participate in the activities conducted in the classes of the center. They sing tukkas while playing Madal -

That's how the mind was blown

Even more, after killing the congregation,

108 people came to Sringeshwardham,

When the meeting center came, the mind became shitalu .

He said that even when he enjoys singing such pieces, the memory of his wife bothers him . He said that even though he gets a lot of love from his children, his daily life has become easier because he gets to share his own gossip with his friends at the Milan Center.

"The soul thinks that it would have been able to stay at the Milan Center even at night," he said, "but since there is only daytime service, it is satisfied with this." They are having fun at the center because they like to share their experiences, knowledge, and ideas.

80-year-old Narmada Aryal of Tilottma 2 Janaki Nagar also arrives at the Milan Center without missing a day. Ancestral Gulmi, she came here with her husband to take care of her grandchildren after her son built a house in Tilottama. After losing her husband due to paralysis, she stayed at home playing with her grandchildren.

Now the grandchildren grow up and go to campus . Staying at home alone all day was exhausting . She was married for 12 years and spent her life in fairs, grass and firewood. She said, "My husband had a job in India, so the money comes from him and now it's easy." She said, "I have been coming since the establishment, except for the days when I was sick, I am the most present." At first, the son would forget the whole day and he did not want to come. She came to think like this and since that day she is one of the regular members.

It seems that even Saturday's holiday would not have happened to him . She can hold the mic and speak for hours. In the beginning, when I took the mic, I used to make fun of the hand that holds the sickle and the spade,'' she said, 'now it would have held the mic, I think I would have been able to speak .' Whether they are employees or children who stay at home, they easily send it to the center to forget about the whole day.

During the period of one and a half years, the parents who came to the center have learned how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, creating a place to express their frustrations, meditation, yoga and a source of entertainment. They seem more than happy to come to the center and spend the day having fun . Every day they are invited by the office bearers of the meeting center committee and also from outside to teach them something new, give them information and instill enthusiasm in their daily life . 79-year-old Romanath Kandel of Tilottama 6 also goes to the

center. He likes to sing bhajans and play the harmonium. His son told us that we are establishing such an organization, sir also went in the afternoon. Kandel did not want to come. After the son said that he wanted to see his father with the daughter-in-law, he went to the center on the request of the daughter-in-law. Then his routine changed .

'Where do I go to my relatives who don't go when I call them for worship, if not, they will come here,' he said, 'I used to feel lonely mentally, I used to feel sad, this place has become my refuge, I am happy.' 74-year-old Ruma Giri came of her own accord after being called by the center's officials. She said that she felt it was very easy to pass the time.

She said that when she met the sisters whose husbands passed away like her, she felt that she was still human. She said that she often met people who came to the center because it was better for them to stay at home after being single. Astrologer Humnath Neupane who lives in Palpa is also happy to come to the meeting center. He said that after the death of his wife, he came here because he could not live there.

'I used to work in the district administration, later I worked in astrology for many years,' he said, he felt lonely at home, but after coming here with his son, he is fine.' He was suggested by his nephew to come here.

These are example characters . 85 parents who come to the center share their happiness with those who go there. The Senior Citizen Meeting Center has become a proper shelter for them to remove the loneliness of old age. Yadunath Pandey, president of the center, said that since there is only one vehicle, they will only bring it from nearby areas, but they are planning to gradually expand the service to other municipalities as well.

"We are just at the beginning stage, in the future we want to connect 500 fathers and mothers to the center," he said. According to him, after the parents arrive at the center at 11 in the morning, when the guests arrive, it is officially started. Wishes are exchanged and enjoyed on someone's birthday. At other times, daily life is started with Omkara meditation.

After that, the story is narrated by doing yoga . "After listening to the story, father and mother sing bhajan kirtan by themselves playing instruments," he said, "at the end, we serve lunch and send them to their homes to rest."

The elderly are fed a different lunch every day. As there is a system of cooking and feeding, snacks such as phapar, corn, wheat, rice flour bread, kheer, upma, semolina, porridge, idli sambar etc. are served at the center.

They are allowed to drink water mixed with plain, mint, coriander, fruits, vegetables, and lemon. Pandey said that they will be taken to visit other places on Friday, doctors will be called for health examination, and someone will be called to give an inspirational message. He said that when people from different places come together and get to know each other, they become a family.

'Everyone who came here is happy . We are happy in their happiness," he said. President Pandey said that although this center was built since 2077, it was fully operational from last November. In order to make the public land useful, the Shringeswaradham Temple, Senior Citizen Meeting Center and Daughter Education House are located in 18 Katthas after getting ownership from the government agency. In the

center, there are 7 special members who have paid 5 lakh rupees, and 156 people have become members after paying 111,000 rupees. Pandey said that although there has not been much help from other places, help will be requested while expanding. He said that preparations are being made to build a 6-storey building for the meeting center and make meditation, gymnasium, medicine room, rest room for senior citizens.

President Pandey said that the expenses are being managed with the income collected from lifetime membership fees. Narayan Aryal, Chief Administrative Officer of Tilottama Municipality, said that he is supporting the center according to the provisions of the Local Government Operation Act to operate and manage the Senior Citizen Meeting Center.

He said that the municipality is investing for the balanced development of the entire area as there are accusations that the local government is focusing only on infrastructure and neglecting social development. In line with the concept of integrated service management, the municipality has been prioritizing this work every year through policies and programs and the annual budget.

He said, "When the young generation is moving abroad and the care and management of senior citizens is becoming a challenge, the municipality has prioritized this work while appreciating the energetic time and resources invested by them in the development of the society and the nation."
