Mohammad Harun Halwai of Banke has been elected as the president of the Nepal Muslim Ittehad organization held in Nepalganj.

The Seventh National Convention of Amalenikat Nepal Muslim Ittehad Organization has unanimously elected a new working committee under the chairmanship of Halwai.  

Halwai was unanimously elected as the president of the new working committee of the organization, Tayeb Hussain as the vice president, Sajida Siddiqui as the women's vice president and Raj Mohammad Ansari as the general secretary. 

In the same way, the Muslim Ittehad organization said that a 65-member committee was selected by the central members including Zabul Mian as the deputy secretary general and Abdul Karim Khan, Sulaiman Mian, Halim Khan and Riyasat Ali as the secretaries.   

The election committee said that the former chairman and MP Seraj Ahmed Farooqui was selected as the chairman of the Central Advisory Council. 

The convention of the Amalenikat Nepal Muslim Ittehad organization started from Saturday in Nepalgunj. More than 600 Muslim representatives and observers from all over the country participated in the convention.
