In Gulmi, the construction of the concrete bridge is incomplete after the deadline has been extended three times. The bridge, which was supposed to be completed in one year, remained idle for four years. An agreement was reached on 21st January 2077 for the bridge to be built on the Kukhure River in Isma Rural Municipality-5. The bridge should have been completed on January 17, 2078.

After the construction work was stopped and the businessmen lost contact, the local residents who were hoping to build a concrete bridge became disappointed . Local Mukta Bahadur Mahtara said that if the bridge is not built, one has to take risks during the rainy season. "There is a situation where you have to cross a bridge to go to the shop," he said, "now the hope of building a bridge is disappearing." "There has been a lot of trouble in Barkha," he said, "The bridge is standing still after the contractor left because the work was stopped."

Road Infrastructure Office Tamghas Gulmi and Atreya Bhusal Basnet JV Kathmandu signed an agreement on March 21, 2077 within one year, said Chief Engineer of Road Infrastructure Office Sachitanand Chaudhary. "The construction of the bridge was not done even after extending the deadline several times," he said, "Now the contract will be reopened after another agreement."

After the work could not be completed on the specified date for the first time, the deadline was extended three times to be completed again on October 30, 2081. However, the office has reached the position of breaking the contract due to lack of work.

The pillars on both sides of the under-construction bridge have been built . Apart from that, the other work is pending . It was agreed to construct a concrete bridge with a total length of 25 meters at a total cost of 24.3 million rupees. It is said that after 50 percent physical progress and 45 percent financial progress of the bridge, the builders are out of touch .

Isma Rural Municipality President Bhagatsingh Khadka said that the local citizens had to suffer because the construction of the bridge could not be accelerated. "After the work was not done, we had called the office and the construction company many times," he said.
