The road has been blocked due to a dry landslide in Gaindakot municipality-3 in the winter river of East Nawalparasi.
The police said that traffic could not be operated on this section of the road under the Kaligandaki Corridor due to continuous landslides from above the road. Landslides are constantly falling, so it is not possible to remove the landslides immediately.
During the expansion of the Butwal Narayangadh road, the number of passengers using the Kaligand corridor road has increased due to frequent road blockages in Daunne. Passengers have to suffer more after the problem in this road section.
Public vehicles are operating from Gaindakot through the hilly terrain of Nawalpur to Rampur of Palpa, while private vehicles and passengers are also using this road.
