The workers of Palpa have submitted a 12-point demand letter demanding facilities provided in the Constitution, Acts and Laws. On the occasion of International Workers' Day, Bagnaskali Workers' Women's Network of Palpa submitted a demand letter to the municipality.

Tila Rana, coordinator of the network, said that the demands have been submitted to the rural municipality president Saraswati Darlami Chidi, vice president Hari Prasad Pathak, chief administrative officer Khemraj Chinal, spokesperson Tika Thapa. In the

demand letter, it is demanded that the local level should arrange a labor card based on the identification and registration of the workers based on the actual investigation and classification of the workers. There is a demand that the rural municipality should prepare a labor desk procedure and implement the labor desk and there should be a system for regular labor monitoring . There is a demand that the workers should be guaranteed fair and equal wages for equal work, and the working hours should be fixed and overtime wages should be guaranteed . Basanti Kanwar Magar said that if there is violence in the workplace, there should be an immediate hearing.

Workers' accident and health insurance should be provided by the local level or workers should be insured and they have demanded to be affiliated to the social security fund . Bishnu Gayre of Pokharathok said that local workers should be given first priority in the work of government plans and that workers should take appropriate action against employers who cheat wages.

The workers also demanded that there should be provision of first aid at the workplace, provision of treatment in case of illness, women-friendly workplace, maternity nutrition allowance for identified workers, remuneration for celebrating festivals and one day's salary for 6 days of work, said Yagya Prasad Neupane, a laborer of Barangdi. There is a demand that by arranging skill development training for the working women, if the working women do not get regular work, they should be supported to run a business for earning a living and all the wards should make and implement a targeted program for the working women .

Labor women's network has been formed in all 9 wards in Bagnaskali rural municipality and the data of the workers has been collected, said Anita Gaha, the coordinator of the network.

Vimala Gaha, a laborer from Chirtungdhara, who has been suffering from unequal wages for the same work compared to men, who works in rural areas.

Bagnaskali rural municipality and the non-governmental organization Social Resources Development Center Nepal conducted a survey last year in 9 wards of the municipality and found a difference in daily wages between male and female workers in rural areas. Jamuna Vick of Bagnaskali Village-2, Pokharathok said that women workers have problems such as not getting daily work, being discriminated against in wages even if they get a job, and having to work for more hours than the specified time.

Women can work as much as men, but the problem is that women are not allowed to do hard work, said Sita Kumal of Bagnaskali-1. There is also a problem of making half the difference in wages. Baganaskali rural municipality-2, Ki Madhu Gayre said that the municipality should be able to make women skilled, transform them into labor, and implement programs and budgets.

There is also a difference in the wage rates of female workers. Although women get 300 to 600 daily wages, men get 500 to 1000. But there is a problem that there is a need for access to labor in the government schemes in the villages, the problem of not being able to manage insurance even if there is an injury while working, the problem of not increasing the wages even though the price has increased, said Pitambar Basyal, the program coordinator of the Social Resource Development Center Nepal.
