Syangja police has arrested one person on the charge of slaughtering a cow. The arrested person is 40-year-old Dambar Bahadur Gurung of Simle, Putlibazar Municipality-12 Polkachaur. According to the police, Gurung took the bull he kept at his home to a field near his house and slaughtered it.
DSP Hariprasad Paudel informed that after killing the bull with an iron cube, Gurung cut the meat into pieces and brought it home. According to him, the police arrested Gurung from his house based on the information that he had hidden meat in a tripal in the yard of his house on Tuesday. DSP Poudel said that along with Gurung, the police recovered a plastic bag, an iron stake, two knives and an iron sickle, an iron knife and a slip stone used to make an iron edge. The police said that Gurung has been given a 10-day extension after filing a case against him in the district court in Syangja on Wednesday.
