The cabinet meeting of the Lumbini state government was concluded on Wednesday. Dinesh Panthi, spokesperson of the government and Minister of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, informed that three important decisions were taken in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya, including changes in the responsibilities of secretaries.

The meeting also decided to assign the responsibility of the provincial secretaries, to send the estimated limit of vehicle tax to be distributed to the local level in the fiscal year 2082/083, and to provide in-principle consent to prepare a draft of the pesticide management bill in the province.

The meeting approved the proposal to assign the responsibilities of the secretaries submitted by the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers. According to the decision, Basant Prasad Koirala has been assigned the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development and Pramod Jha as the Secretary of the Ministry of Forest and Environment.
