The Ward Office of Panini Rural Municipality-6 conducted a pilgrimage for 46 senior citizens in Dhatiwang village.
Ward President Krishna Prasad Paudel said that a three-day trip was made from Arghakhanchi to Baglung Kalika Temple, Tatopani Kund in Myagdi and Muktinath.
65 people including 46 senior citizens, public representatives and employees participated in the pilgrimage, he said. Senior citizens up to 90 years of age participated in the three-day visit.
'The visit was made to the senior citizens who live at home to have a religious visit and to have fun,' said the ward president Paudel, 'We took Pokhara, Palpa, various places in the mountains to Muktinath.'
He said that the elderly in the village could not go on pilgrimage due to lack of financial status and some of the children were abroad and in the city but forced to stay at home. 72-year-old Dhacha Bahadur Rashkoti, who participated in the
tour, said that the ward office had done a good job by taking all the senior citizens of the village to religious destinations. He says that it is fun and entertaining to visit many religious and other destinations at the same time.
