Police have arrested 42-year-old Bir Bahadur Gurung of Tarigaon, Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-12, who has been absconding for 20 years after killing his father-in-law.
He killed his 35-year-old father-in-law Kasiram Vick, who ran a vegetable shop at Tulsipur-5 New Bus Park on the night of July 14, 2016, and fled, said DSP Anil Thakuri, head of area police office Tulsipur. DSP Thakuri said that in a mutual dispute, Gurung got drunk and hit Vic with his hands and feet and killed him. DSP Thakuri said that Gurung had been working as a driver in India for 15 years and had come to Nepal 5 years ago to work as a driver.
Gurung was arrested from Tulsipur-12 Tarigaon on Friday and is being investigated as it has been 20 years since the incident in July.
