Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya, has said that banks and financial institutions are still not accessible to the general public.

On the occasion of Nepal Rastra Bank's 70th anniversary celebration, Chief Minister Acharya said that it is necessary to focus the attention of Rastra Bank on bringing banks and financial access to the common people in the program organized by Siddharthnagar office in Bhairahawa on Sunday.

He said that the National Bank should play an effective role in this matter as there are complaints from the public that when taking loans from banks and financial institutions, one rate of interest is charged and another rate is charged when the loan is paid.

Since the National Bank is the bank of banks, the financial transactions and status of each bank are closely monitored. Are the financial institutions running correctly? He requested the National Bank to monitor and regulate this.

Mayor of Siddharthnagar Municipality, Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, said that it is necessary to come up with a plan and policy that can mobilize money accumulated with banks and financial institutions to private businessmen in a simple and easy manner.

Netra Prasad Acharya, president of Siddhartha Udyog Banijya Sangh, asserted that although Nepal Rastra Bank is the regulatory body of the financial sector, the private sector is the victim of some wrong economic policies.
