Three children drowned and went missing on Monday while swimming in the Danava River in Ardauli, Lumbini Cultural Municipality-2, Rupandehi.
According to District Police Office Rupandehi, three local children of Lumbini Cultural Municipality-2 Ardauli drowned and disappeared around 1 o'clock on Monday afternoon.
13-year-old Umesh Yadav, 14-year-old Rajan Yadav and 12-year-old Mannu Harijan are missing. Another local 13 year-old boy Bijesh Yadav informed the locals about this incident saying that he saw them drowning while swimming in the Danav river.
Suraj Karki, DSP and Spokesman of District Police Office Rupandehi, said that a local team including security personnel is continuing to search for them in the area around the incident site. According to
Karki, as soon as the incident was received, a team of 3 people led by Police Assistant Inspector Kamal Subedi from Rupandehi police station Sukrauliama, 7 people led by Police Inspector Deepak Magrathi from the area police office Lumbini and 10 people led by Armed Police Force Nepal Bayarghat Armed Police Inspector Ram Kumar Ghimire has been deployed and the search is continuing.
