An old woman has died in Tulsipur after she shot herself. Police informed that 83-year-old Narayan Acharya of Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-7, Motipur shot himself on Monday afternoon.
DSP Anil Thakuri, Head of Area Police Office Tulsipur, said that he shot himself with his own twelve-bore gun when no one was in the room. He informed that in the preliminary investigation, it appears that he committed suicide and further investigation is underway.
District Police Chief SP Arjun Timilsina said that he shot his wife with his own licensed gun while she was out of the house and informed the police only after the wife returned home. He said that there was a bullet in the neck and further investigations and tests are being conducted. He said that he did not know the reason for shooting himself.
Acharya was the district president of Red Cross for a long time.
