The second Gulmi Mahotsav-2082 and Agriculture, Tourism and Trade Fair has started from Friday in the headquarters Tamghas.
The festival was inaugurated by MP Dilliraj Bhusal in Lumbini Province. The festival was organized with the slogan 'The basis of prosperity of Gulmi district: agriculture, tourism, industry and trade'. Durgaprasad Pandey, President of Gulmi Chamber of Commerce, said that there will be agricultural exhibition, trade fair, entertainment games and cultural presentation in the fair. While inaugurating the
festival, MP Dilliraj Bhusal in Lumbini Province said that the festival will help to keep the economic situation of the entire district running. "Mela Mahotsav improves agriculture, tourism and business," he said, "Government at all three levels should support it." There are 300 stalls in the
festival. Durga Prasad Pandey, president of Gulmi Chamber of Commerce, said that a financial transaction of 30 million rupees and 1.5 lakh spectators are expected to be observed at the festival. The ticket fee for the festival will be Rs 50 for students and Rs 100 for other people. Senior citizens above 70 years of age, children below 5 years of age and persons with disabilities will be allowed free entry. The festival will be conducted for a total of 13 days until Baisakh 17.
