A person from Rolpa, who died while working in Dubai in connection with foreign employment, was cremated in Dubai on the initiative of Nepalese workers on Friday. Jhanak Bahadur Khatri, a resident of Badadhunga, Gangadeo Rural Municipality-3, Rolpa, working in a company there, died on March 25 due to low blood pressure (septic shock) due to Kitanu infection.

According to Dil Poon, president of Rolpali Seva Samaj in Dubai, according to the family's consent and request, Khatri was cremated in Dubai itself. He said that after Khatri's death, it took about 2 weeks to arrange the entire document process.

About 10 years ago, Khatri, who went to Dubai for foreign employment, did not return home. 'After receiving the news of the death, the family felt that their financial situation was weak and they demanded to have the funeral done there. Accordingly, the recommendation letter was sent to the consular department in Kathmandu,' said Lokman Wali, Ward President of Gangadev-3. The body of the 51-year-old deceased Khatri was not brought to his home in Nepal but was given to Manjurina by his wife Risbhi Khatri, sons Bhupendra Khatri and Prakash KC, daughter Sita KC and daughter-in-law Rita Gharti KC.

Dil Pun, president of the Dubai branch of Rolpali Seva Samaj, said that funds were collected by Rolpali for Khatri's funeral. At the initiative of the society, Khatri's body was cremated at Jewel Ali Dubai Electric Crematorium, run by Dubai Municipality, at 3:30 pm on Friday. According to the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Khatri's body was handed over by Devraj Wali, a consultant of Rolpali Seva Samaj, who is also his neighbor, after the entire document process.

Meanwhile, the Nepalese cremated 9 Nepalis who had reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for foreign employment and died there so far. Pun, the president of the society, said that the organization is doing important work for Nepali workers who are in trouble.

According to Dilaram Wali, the central president of the International Rolpali Seva Samaj in Nepal, Nepali workers who have come to work abroad as in the UAE, have to work in difficult conditions and in some tragic situations, they have to bear risks and even die. He said that the death of Nepali workers who went abroad during foreign employment is not less.
