In Tulsipur on Wednesday, a lot of people took to the streets. And then they started planting bananas on the road. The market dwellers started looking in surprise.
The residents of Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-5, Pipalbot and Ranijaruwa started a creative movement after there was no progress even after three years of road construction.
The coordinator of Sangharsh Committee, Deepak Kafle, said that since the road was not fit for use, they planted bananas as a symbolic protest. In addition, he said that the leaders had not made any visible development, so they walked around with a black armband and also conducted a one-hour traffic jam.
The construction of Peoplebot-Ranijuwa 800 meters road started three years ago by the Lumbini state government, but it has not been able to continue since then. Kafle said that they were forced to protest when the leaders of the political parties began to step aside blaming each other.
