The 57-year-old Chudamani Wali, with a tall jiudal, white flowing hair and glasses, is currently busy with road construction work on the border of Western Rolpa and Salyan. "I have been working here for two and a half months," he said.

He said that he has now found work in the construction of the road from Kapurkot in Salyan to Bafukhola in Salyan via Jhyam-Burase-Patihalna in Rolpa. The youth of Salyan got the contract to build the road with a budget of about 1 crore tendered by the government for 47 lakh rupees. He says that by regularly working on the same road, he is collecting money for household expenses and paying the party.

Chudamani is getting a daily wage of 600 to 1000 for working like this. He is also happy as he will earn daily while working in road construction. He said that since he was engaged in politics for a long time, he decided to work as a source of income. Although there are many young people who are working on road construction here, he is the only one who is getting older. "Among the laborers, I am the only one who has hair or is old". Moreover, I am the only one who is a leader or a member of the politburo of the party.

He is of the opinion that there is no sense of inferiority while working in this way . He says that there is no reason to feel ashamed or embarrassed while doing any work or labor. It is also his experience that it is pleasant to build a road in the village where he was born.
He also told that it was easy for him to pay the monthly levy that he had to pay to the party because he worked. "There is a rule that Politburo members must pay a monthly fee of 1,000 rupees," he said.
He said that he joined the Communist Party in 2045. He has been jailed many times. He told that he has spent 34 months in Rolpa, 22 months in Bajura and 81 days in Dang and Sunsari. His experience is that he was not able to give time and support to his family and relatives because he was involved in politics while still a student. Not being able to stay with his elderly parents for a long time and serve, he has spent a lot of time for party work .
The sick mother died during the treatment last year, while the sick father was kept in the capital and the family members have been treating him . In the year 2042, while studying in the village school Birendra Mavi Nauli, Wali joined the then student organization of Mashal and joined the party after 2045. He also went underground to implement the decision of CPN-Maoist to go underground from February 1, 2052.
Arrested even in the 2046 public movement, he is one of the leaders who will be underground for a long time . During the then 10-year armed conflict, he was the secretary of Rolpa district and other districts and was imprisoned and arrested many times even after the peace process.
