About 1000 domestic tourists have entered Bardia National Park through Thakur on the same day to celebrate the New Year. This is a higher number than last year. The number of visitors to the park on Monday was remarkable. About 700 tourists came to see the park on New Year's Day.
Tourists exchanged pleasantries after seeing the troubled tiger in the cage at the park headquarters. Hari Adhikari of Gularia Municipality-1 said that he saw a tiger for the first time in Bardiya Park. The official, who came with his family, said that the New Year was very fun to see the tiger.
Tourists wanted to go on a jeep safari, but some people complained that they could not visit the park due to insufficient funds. Kiran Wali, a tourist from Surkhet Chinchu, said that although some tourists waited, they visited the park from the safari.
There are more than 30 tourist hotels and safaris around 32 parks.
With the arrival of the new year, there is an increase in the number of domestic tourists in the tourism industry. Protection officer Surya Paudel said that more than a thousand tourists entered the tourist park to celebrate the New Year on Monday alone. There is no place to set foot at the entrance of the park,' he said, 'this is a very happy thing.'
Bardia Park is becoming a tourist destination not only for the purpose of celebrating the New Year but also because tigers can be seen easily. Tourists said that most of the domestic and foreign tourists who came here on New Year's Day came back after seeing the tiger.
Paudel, the conservation officer of the park, said that 17,618 tourists had entered the park till the end of February of the current financial year. Among them, 12,385 Nepalese, 4,387 foreigners and 846 tourists from SAARC countries have visited the park, according to the park.
The number of domestic and foreign tourists is increasing as they can easily see animals such as tigers, rhinos, and elephants in the park covering 968 square kilometers. According to the park, there are 125 tigers, 38 rhinos and more than 120 elephants.
