The 'Panini Tapobhoomi Conference-2081', which was conducted for two days, has ended with the release of the seven-point declaration. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the conference held at Tapobhoomi at Panina, the confluence of Panini Rural Municipality-1 and 2, the birthplace of Sanskrit grammar, on Wednesday.

A seven-point manifesto was issued after discussion on four working papers throughout the day on Thursday. In the declaration prepared under the coordination of Butwal journalist and writer DR Ghimire, it is mentioned that the government of Nepal is requested to organize Gurukul education for the promotion of Panini grammar and Sanskrit language and also to include the study of Sanskrit language and grammar in the modern education system.

Romanath Neupane, chief administrative officer of Panini Rural Municipality, said that Sanskrit University will be established and operated in collaboration with Sanskrit and Linguistics researchers of national and international level. 

Panini region is a place of meditation, penance and creation since ancient times, and it is also mentioned in the manifesto that infrastructure will be provided for research and creation in such a way that it can have an impact on meditation and penance and human welfare. 

Around Panini Tapobhumi there is an ashram under Durvasa. Ruru Kshetra is the auspicious place of the famous Ruru Kanya, the daughter of Maharishi Devdatta. It is the confluence of the famous Kaligandaki river. In the western part of this Tapobhoomi is Nartanachal, the place where Ravana satisfied Shiva by dancing. There is the historical Supa Deurali temple in Nartanachal and the Bananganga river where Rama shot an arrow and released water. In this background, it has been mentioned in the manifesto to study the feasibility of constructing the Panini circular path by including the religious and cultural areas of the neighboring districts, which can attract and entice tourists.

Maharishi In order to provide basic knowledge about Panini grammar, a textbook will be prepared to be included in the local curriculum in coordination with Arghakhanchi as well as the neighboring districts, and since the master plan is mandatory for the overall development of the Panini region, it is mentioned in the manifesto that the heritage-friendly master plan will be completed as soon as possible in consultation with various stakeholders and experts.
