Chaure Damai's house was situated a little above Naigadh village in Sisne Rural Municipality-2. A fire broke out suddenly in this two-storied house with a clay roof and a stone roof last Monday around 8 o'clock. Unable to sit up due to paralysis, he threw his wife and granddaughter out and called a neighbor.
Local residents came from Naigadh village in a hurry and tried their best to put out the fire, but the fire of the house, which was damaged by the drought of March, could not be extinguished. It sounded even more .
Local Tilak Rasaili says, "We carried Chaureki Jahan out of the flames." And we also took out the cows on the ground floor . Couldn't extract more than this . People were saved but all the property along with the house was destroyed.'
Chaure was 60 years old. Among his 5 daughters and 2 sons, Hiralal is the eldest son. According to Chaure, the same son started the fire in his own house. On the day of the fire, he came home drunk as usual and called me by name and said 'I will kill you'. I was hiding. In a short while, the house caught fire,' he says, showing the blister on his leg that was burned by the fire the previous day, 'My son caught fire in his own house, we became homeless.' 
He tells the villager that he hurriedly tried to get his wife and granddaughter out. He said, "My son used to drink alcohol and make us suffer like this". But I never thought that the house would catch fire like this.'
She has been paralyzed for 5 years and cannot move from one place to another. There is no money for treatment sir, what to do? All God Bharosa ongoing He said.
He also told that his daughter-in-law left the house with his grandson (Hiralal's youngest child) two years ago due to drunken harassment.
After the incident, Hiralal was arrested and taken away by the police on the charge of setting fire to the house. District Police Office Rukum East Police Chief DSP Madhavraj Kharel informed that Hiralal, who was accused of setting fire to his own house, is being investigated by extending the deadline.
After Chaure's house was destroyed by fire, his family is now being kept in the canteen building of the municipal hospital under construction nearby with the help of the ward office and locals. "We have collected some essential goods from the ward and the local community." Necessary steps will be taken to build his house very soon," said Krishna Bahadur Khadka, Chairman of Sisne Rural Municipality-2.
