Electricity service has been interrupted after electricity poles fell down and were damaged in many places due to the severe storm that came in Banke on Wednesday night.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority Nepalgunj distribution center, electric poles have fallen in many places due to severe wind. Electricity service has been disrupted in Nepalgunj and surrounding areas since Wednesday night.
Authority Nepalgunj distribution center head Jagannath Lamichhane said that the electricity service was interrupted due to the damage to poles and wires in various places due to the storm.
Kohlapur Nepalgunj Double Circuit 33 KV main line some poles have fallen, some have cracked and the tower has also been damaged, so the maintenance work has been started, Chief Lamichhane said .
