Stating that it is sad and painful for the region that the airport could not be operational even after three years of its inauguration, he drew the attention of Minister Pandey through a letter on Thursday to regularize international flights as soon as possible.
Saying that the residents of this place even left their ancestral lands and gave land for the construction of the airport, he mentioned that the entire Rupandehi along with Lumbini province has been affected due to lack of flights. "After the completion of the construction, the enthusiasm seen in the private sector and at the civil level is gradually turning into disappointment," the letter says, "The entire private sector here is angry after the non-opening of the necessary offices and the discount facility that was supposed to be given to the airline company." The airport was deserted when even the airline companies that had been flying for a few months stopped flying and to protect the billions of investments made during the construction of the airport, he requested that international flights be scheduled immediately and put into operation at full capacity. Stating that the pressure given by the private sector for the operation of the airport is natural, he has warned Minister Pandey through a letter not to create a situation where he and the entire municipality will be forced to lead and create pressure if there is no meaningful effort for the operation of the airport. .
