Two panthers have been found dead in Bardia National Park. The dead tiger was found in the dense thicket between the park's Laguna Fanta and Ganda Machan at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday night.
Ashok Ram, head of Bardia Park, told Kantipur that two tigers were found dead. He said that it was found in the preliminary investigation that the tigers died after fighting each other.
On Tuesday evening, the staff of the park, the Nepalese army stationed for the security of the park, and the staff of the National Nature Conservation Fund have reached the incident site. Ajit Tumpha Hamphey, head of Nature Conservation Fund, said that the killed male tiger was about 10/12 years old. Chief Tumbahamfe, who was present at the scene, said that preparations were being made to take the dead tiger to the park headquarters, Thakur for post-mortem.
