Two people died in two separate accidents in Madi rural municipality of Rolpa on Monday.

Madi-2 near Ghartigaon, one person was killed in a bus collision under Shahid Marg. According to the police, 80-year-old Devraj Gharti, a resident of Madi Rural Municipality-1 Aul, was hit by a bus going from Ghorahi to Rukum East Chunbang near the Liwang turn of Ghartigaon-Dui Kholi section of Sahidmarg at 11:30 on Monday morning. The old man who was traveling in the said bus got off the bus and was going home when the bus hit him.

Chief Police Inspector Devsingh Bhandari of Ghartigaon Area Police Office at the incident site and the driver Prakash Bohra, 32-year-old resident of Runtigadhi-9 of Rolpa, and the bus No. 2K 2778, were arrested, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Lama, Rolpa Police Chief.

Similarly, a dead body was found near Pedi Khola in Madi Rural Municipality-1 on Monday morning around 7:30 am, the police said.

When the police team led by Police Inspector Devsingh Bhandari from the area police office in Ghartigaon investigated, it was revealed that the dead body was that of 42-year-old Khark Bahadur Budha Magar, the husband of a local bomber Budha Magar.

Mrs. Bamkumari went to her mother's house and her children went to a neighbor's relative's house, while trying to fish in the nearby river by pulling the electric wire from the house, the police said, quoting the locals, that the victim was electrocuted and died on the spot. Police said that the bodies of both the deceased have been sent to Rolpa Hospital for post-mortem.
