On the morning of last February 13th, a disturbing incident happened in Thumka village near Nerpa Bazar of Triveni Rural Municipality of Rolpa. Due to this gruesome murder inside the house, the family members are confused.

40-year-old Khim Bahadur Budhamgar killed his 32-year-old wife Asmita by strangling her throat. 72-year-old Babu Jasram and Khim Bahadur's 13- and 8-year-old sons and 13-month-old daughter also witnessed this gruesome murder. After the

incident  Khim Bahadur was arrested by the police. During a domestic dispute, Khim Bahadur suddenly killed Asmita. In his statement with the police, he has also admitted to knowingly killing.

Khim Bahadur, who has been going back and forth between India and Nepal for work, has been doubting his identity for some time now, using various abusive words and fighting. He had a fight with Asmita the night before the murder.

Even though Jasram knew about this, he didn't care that it would always happen. But he did not even imagine that the fight would lead to murder, and now he is confused about how to raise his grandchildren in his old age.

The son took the life of the daughter-in-law who was doing some work for household expenses . The same son is now in police custody on charges of murder. Now we can't work as old people. Khim Bahadur's father, Jasram, said how to raise these little grandchildren, what to send them. 72-year-old Jasram and 71-year-old Manrupa are now worried about how to raise their three grandchildren.

There was such a big crime incident in the house. Since there is no one to earn on top of that, now Jasram is under stress of how to get his morning and evening food . Khim Bahadur's 13-month-old daughter, Muna, who saw her father slitting her mother's throat in front of her, cries looking for her mother at night. Grandmother Manrupa's chest is torn when her granddaughter, who is old enough to drink milk, cries for her mother at night.

Khim Bahadur used to go to India for a large sum of money, even though Asmita had a little household expenses with the money she earned from working in the village. Last year also he had reached Delhi for work . There he worked in a moneylender's buffalo farm but did not earn as much as he said, his wife Asmita sent money and returned.

Neighbor Khimraj again says that even though husband and wife quarrel occasionally, they did not think that the situation would reach the point of murder. He says, "From the outside, the family seemed to be doing well." Sometimes there will be chaos in the family . But we are also surprised by the incident that happened that day. Jasram is also upset after this incident. He said, "As usual, my son was making a noise the night before. We didn't think that he would kill his wife like that in the morning.'

District Police Office Rolpa Police Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Lama said that Khim Bahadur has admitted that he killed intentionally in the statement. He is currently in prison for pretrial detention.

Sandeep Thapa, a local social worker who reached the village of Thumka and understood the situation of Khim Bahadur's family, said that the condition of the elderly and children was very miserable after the incident. There is no one to earn in the house, the financial condition of the house is also very miserable. The villagers have been providing food, financial and other support," he said. According to him, local clubs, support organizations, mothers' groups and others have called to pay attention to the care of the elderly and children who are in trouble.

According to Sandeep, the elders of the family, who have reached a miserable condition, need financial assistance and the children need help in reading. Thumka, located on the upper part of Jugar Jawal, is close to the local Kaulabot village.

Khim Bahadur's family had migrated from Madi and Sukidah (Otko Jabang on the border of Gangadev Rural Municipality) villages a few years ago. Asmita's Maiti village is in Kureli of Rolpa and they got married about 15 years ago when they were in Jabang.

The incident site is two hours west of Nerpa Bazar, the center of Triveni Rural Municipality. Thumka village is about 60 km west from Rolpa headquarters Liwang.
