Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya has said that Mathuradham Gopeshwar Peetha located in Sandhikhark Municipality-5 Wangla is a sacred religious pilgrimage site. He mentioned that it will be developed as a sacred place in the country.
Addressing the Srimad Bhagavat and Shatchandi Mahayagya program held at Gopeshwar Peetha and Radhakrishna Temple in Mathura Wangla, Chief Minister Acharya said that Mathura should be seen as a place of religious importance.
'For the prosperity and development of this place, the government has been supporting us at various stages. Even in the current financial year, the budget has addressed the upgrading of roads,' he said, 'There was a water problem here, and the water supply work has gone ahead to solve it. It is necessary to develop this place as a religious and touristic place not only in Arghakhanchi or Lumbini region but also in the country.'
He said that the government is also working to protect the historic Pauwa, where Jung Bahadur was born. He also said that there is a plan for proper development of Mathura by creating a larger master plan in the future.
Mentioning that the provincial government will give priority to the development of religious places according to the desires and wishes of the devotees, he clarified that the government will also pay special attention to bringing in domestic and foreign tourists.
