District Police Office Bardia has arrested one of the absconding defendants in the extortion case 22 years and 10 months after the verdict.

The defendant who was sentenced to imprisonment by District Court Bardia on 29 Baisakh 2059 was arrested by the police from Kohalpur Municipality-8 Havaldarpur in Banke. 

The arrested person is Kul Bahadur Sunar of Baghaiyatal rural municipality-1. The court found him guilty in the extortion case and sentenced him to three years in prison. 

Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Bardia Kedar Khanal informed that the arrested goldsmith was brought to the District Court Bardia for execution of the verdict.
