Police Sub-Inspector (SAI) of Police Station Durghauli Rupandehi, who took bribe money for facilitating customs evasion, has been arrested with the bribe money.
According to Gita Acharya, Information Officer of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission, Butwal, Sai Khim Bahadur Khadka was arrested with 30,000 cash. Acharya said that she was arrested on Thursday from Makri Khaja Ghar located in Mayadevi Rural Municipality-6 along with the money taken for facilitating the bringing of illegal household goods from India. "Based on a special information, we have arrested Khadka with 30,000 cash," she said, adding, "Further investigation is ongoing."
She said that the investigation is still on as to who are the traders or ordinary citizens trying to bring goods by evading customs. Facilitation Khadka is the in-charge of Durghauli Police Station.
