Two people died when a water tanker hit them in Bethani located in Duduwa rural municipality-2 of Banke on Sunday.
District Police Information Officer and Police Inspector Yam Bahadur Malla informed that nine-year-old Shiukumar Godia and eight-year-old Vishal Godia, a local boy, were killed when they were hit by a water tanker No. 1 B 4107.
After the incident, the angry locals set fire to the tanker. The vehicle was completely damaged in the fire. Police Inspector Mall said that arson and vandalism are still going on. Chief District Officer Dharmaraj Joshi said that they had to fire a few rounds as the situation was out of control. "All the details of the incident are not yet available, but the situation is out of control," he said.
