An Indian citizen who went missing five days ago after drowning while bathing in Kaligandaki river in Ramdidham area under Siddharth highway was found dead on Sunday.
25-year-old Shivam Pandey, who lives in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, went missing on Wednesday afternoon while taking a bath. The body of Pandey, who went missing while bathing in the Kaligandaki river in Ramdi, Bagnaskali rural municipality-5 of Palpa, was found washed away about one kilometer downstream from Ramdi ghat, according to the district police office, Palpa. 4 people, including Pandey, who returned home from Pokhara, went to take a bath in Kaligandaki. Pandey drowned and disappeared.
Local residents have said that people who do not understand the geographical conditions of Ramdi area go missing while swimming. The local Lekhnath Neupane said that the river has dried up in this area and if those who do not know its condition are not careful while swimming, such incidents will happen.
