The OIDP has mentioned on its website that the award winner will be announced based on 50 points of open online voting among 40 applicants and 50 points of the jury (judge). Mayor Ramakrishna Khan said that the award will be distributed at the 24th OIDP Conference (Conference) to be held in Cordoba, Argentina from May 21 to 23. "The issue of ecological system and climate has become a burning problem all over the world, we have done exemplary work in the promotion of greening and urban sanitation with mass public participation, this award will play a big role in making it known throughout Nepal and the world," said Khan.

Municipal Information Technology Branch Head Sunil Panthi said that as OIDP has made rules for online voting in five different categories, voting in only one category will be cancelled. He said that Tilottama can be voted in ecological transition and environment category. He said that one can go to the OIDP website and vote by creating an email account.

Tilottma Municipality has been continuously running cleanliness and greening promotion campaign with public participation every 15 days since 074 for the eighth year.
