In Pratappur, the Land Commission has started surveying the land, more than 21,000 applications across the district

In Pratappur of West Nawalparasi, the land problem commission has started surveying the land. Landless landless, Dalit landless squatters and unorganized dwellers have been started to measure land for distribution of land-rich Lalpurja.

There are 1,668 unorganized residents in Pratappur. Umeshchandra Yadav, Chairman of Pratappur Rural Municipality, said that land surveying will be done in all 9 wards of Pratappur Rural Municipality.

Out of the seven municipalities of the district, except Palhinandan rural municipality, landless and unorganized residents have already filled the form for land acquisition.

There are 21 thousand 228 landless, squatters and unorganized residents in the district, said Lal Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of the Land Problem Solution Commission Nawalparasi. According to the commission, 7,274 people have filled the form in Bardghat Municipality, 6,000 in Sunwal Municipality, 2,403 in Sarawal Rural Municipality, 2,300 in Susta Rural Municipality, 1,668 in Pratappur Rural Municipality and 1,583 in Ramgram Municipality. In Palhinandan rural municipality, the work of filling the form has not progressed.
