Rajan Gautam has won the election for the leadership of the Independent Students' Union in the elections held at the Martyr Multiple Campus in Rampur, Palpa.

Aneraswaviyu's Gautam who nominated from the joint panel of Aneraswaviyu and Aneraswaviyu (Revolutionary) was elected with 301 votes .

Gautam defeated Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh (Nevisangh) candidate Kasam Malla Thakuri by 40 votes . Malla got 261 votes. Bimal Chhetri won with 282 votes from the All Joint Panel as Secretary. 

competitor Bandana Gaihre scored 277 . Election Officer Trivikram Khanal said that while Sacha Regmi won with 299 votes from the joint panel for Treasurer, Dhankala Rana of Navy Sangh got 256 votes.

Sadiksha Dhakal with 273 votes from Navy Association, Niruta Dhenga with 263 votes from Joint Panel, Savina Bhandari with 261 votes from Navy Association, Shashi Dhakal with 260 votes from Navy Association and Indra Bahadur Soti with 260 votes from Joint Panel were elected as direct members. 571 out of 715 votes were cast in Shaheed Campus.

On the proportional side, the New Union has received 270 votes and the Aneraswaviyu has received 299 votes . During the counting of votes, the counting of votes was postponed on Tuesday night and was resumed on Wednesday evening. 

After the all-party all-party meeting, the counting of votes has resumed from 8 pm. Navy Sangh has been leading in Saheed Multiple Campus since 2048. The counting of votes was postponed due to the uncomfortable situation that occurred when the voting was completed and the counting was underway.
